And so a 9-year series of concert
programs draws to an end, along with the Capitol Theatre and a
great era of music that began in the 1960s.
I love rock’n’roll, and Joan
was a terrific first inductee to the Long Island Music Hall of
Fame. Her speech was as perfect for that occasion as her
performance for the Capitol Theatre’s 13th anniversary in
1984.
Errata
Programs that were published but are
missing are: King Crimson at the Paramount Theater in Asbury
Park on July 31, 1982; Bobby & The Midnights at Roseland
Ballroom on June 14, 1983; Neil Young at Byrne Meadowlands
Arena in August, 1983; Loverboy and Zebra at Byrne Meadowlands
Arena in August, 1983.
It is possible that the artwork and
sample programs have been lost, or that we printed them but the
shows were cancelled and the programs destroyed. Please contact Moyssi if you can provide a copy of any missing
program, a scanned image of the cover and title page, or
any other relevant information about these concert programs.
