Comments: This was my first cover
illustration created for “John Scher Presents”. We
can blame it all on Bruce Moran (thank you) who was also
sufficiently inspired to sell ad space and license a
rockin’ Doonesbury cartoon for the inside back cover. I
have no idea who is carrying the 1978 banner, but this mischief
is traceable to Seymour Stein. That’s an interior photo
of the Capitol, at left, during a sound check. The blob of
light on the right side of the picture is the lighting
director’s box/booth.
