                Comments: There’s a black foot
but where’s Edgar? I like Edgar Winter and I’m
grateful for his band’s extended use of my Bright Flash
lighting effect which involved something like 180 Press-60
flash bulbs in three portable ferrotype reflectors. These
things looked just like a standard 100-watt light bulb but were
filled with a wad of magnesium filament about the same size as
a Brillo Pad. It was so bright that nobody could see
it—or anything at all—for a few minutes. But it
sure had an effect. The first time this went off, we forgot to
warn the union follow spot operators. We never made THAT
                mistake again.
