Bands: The Who
Venue: Capitol Theatre, Passaic NJ
Date: September 10-11, 1979
Quality: Uncirculated program; Cover
art.
Comments: Peter and Roger hung with the
crew after the show. The English bane of my existence, house
electrician and assistant lighting director at the Capitol and
former apprentice stage manager at the Royal Shakespearian
Theatre, Aldwych, Bren Bowen displayed his best smirk along
with two bottles of 1945 vintage Taylor Fladgate and Yeatman
that he had spirited away from Dressing Room A. Despite the
purloined vino, Peter and Roger invited us to drop in at
Shepperton Studios when in town and—surprise—the
guards graciously waved us in when we did. We got a guided tour
before being deposited in the studio pub, where Brenig
instantly regained his English accent and I—just as
quickly—learned why.
